Connect to your blog trhough XML-RPC

Matrix Writer support WordPress and Google Blogger's RESTful API, that is the best way that these two blog services recommended. Before RESTful API, there are many blog service use XML-RPCas the primary way to allow third party tools publish posts to blog on behalf of user. Matrix Writer supports this XML-RPC as well. 

Below is an example of using XML-RPC connect to your WordPress blog. It's same for other blog services which support XML-RPC. There are plugins for WordPress to disable XML-RPC, by default XML-RPC is enabled for WordPress user, please make sure your XML-RPC options is enabled before your start below steps. 

1. Click "Connect to a blog account" from Quick Start panel to start connecting Matrix Writer to your blog account. You will see below dialog.

2. Select "Other services" then click Next button.


3. Input your blog address first, normally this is the home page of your blog, then input your user name and password to allow Matrix Writer connect to your blog account and publish posts on behalf you. 

Click Next, Matrix Writer will detect your blogs from given address, after detect successed, you will get following screen.



Here is your blog name and description, you can edit the name and description, click Finish you account will be added to Matrix Writer blog account list and then you can publish posts to this account.
